10% Cases of Covid19 Are Below 19 years - Minister Of Health Cautions Schools

Osagie Ehanire, Minister of health on monday 21st revealed that, 10 per cent of all the Covid-19 cases in the country are below the age of 19.

In his speach at the daily briefing of the PTF of Covid-19 in Abuja, the minister revealed that though adults especially 60 years and above are more vulnerable to Coronavirus complication, such complication do occure in all age groups.

The minister further caution schools to adhere to the protocols and adversories for reopening schools to prevent Covid-19 surge.

Osagie Ehanire Said:

"Records shows that 10 per cent of all positive cases we have treated are below the age of 19 years.

"They are also the same mobile group that can be without symptoms, but can easily spread the disease.

"Therefore, as schools begin to reopen in some areas, i urge cautions and adherence to the protocols and adversories for reopening schools to prevent Covid-19 surge."
