Rape Victim Refuses To Testify Against Abuser, Pleads For His Number As She Revealed She Was Satisfied

A lady who was molested in Botswana has left everyone in shock as she has refused to come forth to testify against the man who abused her.

The Zimbabwean man who raped her and other victims have already been arraigned to face judgement.

From investigations, it was gathered that the suspect has been attempting this since March 2017, he would gain entry to victim's homes through the windows that were left unclosed.

Once he has gained access he would search for mobile phones before carrying out his evil act on the female without any protection.

Chabaya who was accused of targeting young girls in tertiary institutions under the ages of 24. He would then break into their homes at night to rape them.
He would tell his victims he was good in bed and they would call him begging for more.

Before raping his victims, the suspect who was always armed with a knife is said to have toyed with the women. He was arrested in April 2017 after police matched his DNA to an earlier robbery case in which he suffered a cut on his hand while escaping.

However in spite of the lady’s refusal to testify against her abuser, the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that the sexual intercourse occurred without the victims’ consent. Ruling on the case, Magistrate Willie said rape cases were on the increase in Botswana and perpetrators like Chabaya deserved stiffer sentences.
