Mayorkun
Mayorkun is the stage name of Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and pianist who was born on March 23, 1994.
Davido found him on Twitter, and he later released a version of his song "The Money." From 2016 to 2021, Mayorkun was signed to Davido's record label, DMW, when his first track, "Eleko," was made public.
In November 2018, Mayorkun released The Mayor of Lagos, his debut studio album. He released "Let Me Know" and his debut studio album "Back In Office" in October 2021 on the Sony Music West Africa branch after leaving DMW in 2021.
Early life
On March 23, 1994, Mayorkun was born in Osun State, Nigeria. He was born into a family of entertainers as the first of three children. His father is an artist and a film producer, and his mother is an actress in Nollywood.
Mayorkun claims that he "learned the rudiments of music" while participating in the choir at a very young age.
He holds an accounting degree from the University of Lagos and worked in banking before being found out in 2016.
Music Career
After Davido noticed Mayorkun's cover video in February 2016, Mayorkun made the decision to leave his bank job and look for another one owing to the low income.
Davido asked him if he could do more than play the keyboard after following him on Twitter and Instagram.
On the same day he gave Davido some of his previously recorded tracks and drafted his resignation letter, he received a call from Davido.
He was chosen by Davido to join Davido Music Worldwide. In 2016, Mayorkun released "Eleko," his debut track on the label. On the Nigeria Playdata charts, the song debuted at number nine on May 1 and peaked at number five on May 28.
In the first 10 days, the song's music video received one million views. Mayorkun has a number of singles to his credit, including Yawa, Sade, Che Che, and Mama. In advance of his debut studio album, "The Mayor of Lagos," he released the singles "Posh" and "Fantasy" with Olu Maintain in October 2018.
The 16th of November 2018 saw the release of the Lagos mayor. On December 1, 2018, it debuted on the Billboard World Albums chart and peaked at position 15.
He was one of the artists slated to perform at the 2020 Vanguard Personality Awards at the Convention Center of the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. Tekno, Timaya, and numerous other performers were also on the itinerary.

Mayorkun is one of the wealthiest musicians in Nigeria; he has obtained numerous sponsorship deals and numerous honors. He presently has an estimated net worth of $1.8 million.
