
Yul Edochie
Chibuike Yul Daniel Edochie, also referred to as Yul Edochie and born on January 7, 1982, is a Nigerian actor who took the name Yul Brynner from the Russian actor.
He is a native of the Nigerian state of Anambra and the son of Pete Edochie. He was brought up in both Lagos and Enugu. He is the sixth and final child.
He was married when he was 22 years old. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts from the University of Port Harcourt.
Career
Edochie and May Aligwe have four sons and a daughter. Victory for Zane Chukwubuike Yul Edochie, Dani Edochie, Karl Edochie, and Kambi Edochie are their names.
On April 27, 2022, the actor made public his second marriage to Judy Austin, another actor, and the birth of their son. Many coworkers and fans reacted negatively to this news, and others showed their support.
Politics
Edochie announced on July 14, 2017, that he would run for governor of Anambra State.
This announcement was made in anticipation of a not too young to run bill being approved by the Nigerian federal senate. But the news was official when he picked up the Democratic Peoples Congress nomination form on August 22.
He then became the party's flag bearer and gubernatorial candidate for Anambra State governor.
Yul Edochie has made it known that he plans to run for president of Nigeria in the 2023 elections.
