I wanted to do anything, and if I could have, I would have been a prostitute today, said Omotola Jalade

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, a seasoned actress in Nollywood, has shared some private information about her background, including how she almost became a prostitute.

In a recent interview, Omotola talked about her early years with Chude Jidenwo.

The mother of four described how, when she was 12 years old, her father died. She added that it was a tragic event that left her emotionless because she never grieved his passing.

The actress continued by saying that due to the difficulties she encountered as a young girl, she was on the verge of turning to prostitution in order to survive.

Omotola Jalade stated, "I believe all that is now, whether good or bad, is because of the passing of my father. It affected me greatly since I did not grieve for my father.

I know that for a long time, I was his only child, and my father and I were very close. He was the manager of the Lagos Country Club at the time, and because influential people frequented the club, I began associating with influential people at a young age.

"When they came to pick me up from school when I was 13 I felt something was wrong and hoped my dad was still alive.

I didn't know how to respond or how I was feeling when I realized my dad had passed away when I returned home, so I just remained mute, but now that I'm older, I believe I fully comprehend everything. I consequently stopped feeling anything, and it still has an impact on me.

"Nothing anyone says to me can affect me; I am so sure of myself and have no fear of anyone. I don't fear for my life; if I had to do something today, I probably would have become a prostitute since I was so desperate that I offered to sell my body rather than let anyone hurt my younger brother.
